Provavelmente você já escutou falar do Faith no More ou talvez do seu vocalista aloprado Mike Patton. O Faith no More não existe mais, mas Mike Patton continua mais vivo do que nunca lançando seu mais recente projeto musical chamado Peeping Tom, nele Mike abusa dos recursos eletrônicos fazendo uma junção de estilos musicais que ele mesmo intitulou de Experimental-Guetho-Tech-Trip-Hop-G-funk, para facilitar a nossa vida eu definiria o som dele como um Experimental que passeia pela música ambiente e com grandes influências do Hip Hop e do Funk.
Só pela confusão da descrição musical já da para imaginar o grau da loucura, o álbum me surpreendeu em todos os aspectos, com um ótimo groove e músicas bem ecléticas, mostrando que nos dias de hoje você pode achar coisas novas e muito boas que estão fora do Main stream. Os convidados para este álbum foram escolhidos a dedo para fortalecer o lado ainda mais eclético da obra, a lista vai de Bebel Gilberto a Kool Keith e de Massive Attack a Norah Jones.
O álbum de estréia do Peeping Tom, com o mesmo nome, é um daqueles tipo raridade e difícil de se encontrar em qualquer esquina, portanto faça algo em prol da boa música, corra atrás e se divirta porque o mundo de hoje não se resume somente a músicas que tocam nas rádios ou nas paradas de sucesso.

Now a collaborator writing to EvokeTimes, Binho Nunes will throw some words about the newest and bright project of Mike Patton, ex-Faith no More, the band Peeping Tom.

You probably heard of Faith no More or maybe of its crazy singer, Mike Patton. Well, Faith no More is over, but Mike Patton is still alive, releasing his most recent music project, entitled Peeping Tom, where he uses electronic resources mixing up musical styles that he calls Experimental-Ghetto-Tech-Trip-Hop-G-Funk. To make it easier for us, I would say his music is a sort of Experimental that goes around ambient music largely influenced by Hip Hop and Funk.
The confusion in describing the style points out to the level of madness, and the album has surprised me in all aspects, with a great groove and quite eclectic songs, showing that even today you still can find new good stuff outside the mainstream. The guests to this album have been especially selected to strengthen the eclectic side of the work, with the list having names such as Bebel Gilberto, Kool Keith, Massive Attack, and Norah Jones.
Peeping Tom’s first album, with the same name, is one of those types of rarities, hard to find in any corner, reason why you should do something good on behalf of good music, go after it and have fun, because the world today is not only about the music on the radio or big hits.
